„…es ist so eine ganz eigene Stimmung darin…“
As my fascination for Schumann's late works developed, so did my questions about the genesis, genetics and unfolding of them. In an attempt of searching deep into my own relation and bodily experiences with these works, the idea of writing a text that simply explained plainly some of its most basic musical aspects grew on me. There it is: a set of contradictory statements, extraneous harmonic relations and fascinating poetical worlds.
